Day Seven

July 18, 2009
Utica NY to Schenectady NY
102 Miles (Day)
616 Miles (Total)

Chris, Dion, and Mark returned to our middle-of-nowhere end point of yestersday to complete the 11 miles to Utica and the entire group then rode 91 more miles concluding at sunset with increible strength and enthusiasm. Kudos to Chris for his century, kudos to Eric and Dion for overcoming nasty bee stings, kudos to Gene for completing a tough ride with a smile, kudos to Charles for simply being Charles, kudos to Justin for not falling once, kudos to Maurice for great cycling and being perhaps the most appreciative kid ever (thanks Maurice). Kudos also to the staff for an uber-Charleyesque performance. With Netzer changing a record 12 tires, Gordon being an All-Pro res man, and Dan being a captain of youthful enthusiasm as always.
Did we rest upon the conclusion of this long day? No sir- bowling and dancing at the local cosmic lanes until past 1 am. Living large!

What a day, huh? You still managed to get a century in yesterday and cosmic bowling! You all are doing great!

If I road a bike for 91 miles, the only dance I would be able to do is the rubber legs dance. Impressive! Hope you slept in the next morning. Great job.
