Day Eight

July 19, 2009
Schenectady NY to Bennington VT
55 Miles (Day)
668 Miles (Total)

Today we accomplished a miraculous feat as we biked in three states, New York, Massachussetts, and Vermont and on top of that we did it with our lowest mileage day yet on the trip. We had our first real climb going four miles up to abeautiful hill top that marked the end of our New York Travels. We then sped down the road in Massachussetts where we took a crucial break to take turns running up the side of an A Frame. From there we moved swiftly into our Vermont destination of Bennington Vermont. The Boys got their first look at some climbs which they will unquestionably be seeing more of in the day to come as we head into New Hampshire. Let it be noted that not a single flat tire was recorded on the day.
