Malta, Montana
Havre, Montana
92 Miles
Hot, wind in the face, legendary mosquitos and the slow beginning of moderate climbs greeted the ambitious PYL boys today. With basically only one town option, it was a full day of cycling to arrive with a Montana sunset and lots of those tiny Montana state birds. Some of the scenes here as they slowly develop on the bike should be proud life memories. Special kudos to Justin and Charley for a quick Chevy van tire change on the Indian Reservation. Gordon and Mark probably would still be waiting on AAA. Aaron and Chris dragged in the A.M. and then were afternoon leaders. Nate was variable as always. Justin was very strong today as was Paul. Our normal leader Dion vowed to take it easy today and fulfilled his promise. We are moving onward...

Big day!! Hope you have your bug spray, it's hard to pedal and scratch simultaneously. You're all lucky, not everyone has experienced a Montana sunset!! Enjoy!
Keeping up on your travels. Hope you all had a great 4th of July! Your 2008 T-shirt is proudly displayed in our office as we await your arrival at the Pacific. Not only the ride will take your breath away but our country's magnificent views! As a quote from Shakespeare "One touch of nature makes the whole world kin". Enjoy being a part of a huge family!
