Why do people bike west after years acquiring knowledge that the North American prevailing winds blow east? Something about coastal celebration moments, I suppose. Strong wind obscured what otherwise was a picture postcard display of Montana's prairie, wheat fields and history. Although the miles came very slowly, we reached our destination.
