Day 8

July 9, 2008
East Glacier Park, Montana
Columbia Falls, Montana
68 Miles
629 Total Miles

We started the day with a 6:00a.m. wake-up to finish the long climb to the snow-banked Continental Divide. The boys were tired (beyond that), cold yet eager for the 15 Mile descent through the utter beauty of Glacier National Park. Smiles shined on the tired faces of the young yet hearty cyclists throughout the day. We watched one incredible sight after another around the next curve. The boys drove the world famous Road to the Sun in the early evening through Glacier Park to the summit at Logan's Pass. The young men enjoyed an extensive snowball fight, authentic mountain water and numerous mountain goat sightings during the tour of the park. Please take our suggestion to view the 2008 Bike Trip Photos to see some beautiful pictures.
