98 Miles
The second day of a biking expedition is traditionally difficult as the muscles are initially sore and the mind is not yet ready for the task ahead. The mountain west provides very few towns and today we cycled 98 miles into Montana with long steady climbs and incredible sights. A beautiful day and the kids caught the joy of the cycling pace as early evening brought heat relief and pleasant cycling through the vast Fort Peck Indian Reservations. Dion has been impressively strong, Aaron usually is found in the lead pack, Paul and Chris are strong if focused and motivated, Nate overcame a potentially NBA career ending knee cramp and Justin got his first flat in 3 years as he crosses North America. Thanks to Lisa, ever-loyal Joyce and the heart and soul of Pittsburgh Youth Leadership Casey for their regular encouragement on-line with "comments". Please feel free to add your own comments to our blog as they are appreciated and enjoyed.
